    The Artist

    J.H. LYNCH

Joseph Henry Lynch (1911 - 1989) was a British artist, better known under his signature J.H. Lynch.

His mass reproduced paintings of sultry women, especially Tina (1964) make him one of the protagonists of Mass Market Art during the 1960's and 1970's.

J.H. Lynch created the famous and instantly recognisable Nymph, Autumn Leaves and Woodland Goddess, some of his best known works, some of which are shown in popular and iconic movies such as Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange.

These paintings donned many living rooms across New Zealand and the UK in the 1960's and almost 60 years on and the enigmatic Lynch and his style of art has gained popularity once again.
